St John's Colliery Maesteg South Wales

This was the colliery where my grandfather William White worked, at it's height in 1945 1,242  men worked here. The colliery was closed after the miners strike on the 22nd of November 1985, it was the last deep mine in the Llynfi valley.
I'm not sure when these pictures were taken, possibly on a family visit around 1984?
